Goggomobile

Gwynne Tourer 1923
Gwynne Engineering Co, England
There are very few Gwynnes still in existence today even though large numbers were exported and at one stage an instruction manual in Japanese was issued! The Gwynne combined good performance with fuel economy, but was noisy and uncomfortable. Production ceased in 1929 with the financial failure of the company. This exhibit is fitted with the Robertson "Automatique" transmission and could possibly be the first car to have had automatic transmission.
4 cylinders, 8 hp, 55 mm bore, 100 mm stroke, 950 cc, ohv.
