Matchless G12 1961
Associated Motor Cycles, England
Matchless Motorcycles was founded by H H Collier, a British bicycle manufacturer. Matchless built-up a reputation for solid and reliable machines, however financial troubles plagued the company during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In 1966 it was bought by Norton-Villiers and production ceased in favour of the highly successful Norton Commando range. The G12 was known as the "Big Matchless"? and was a revamped version of the 592 cc G11. This exhibit is fitted with a sidecar - sports and scrambler versions were also available.
646 cc four stroke ohv twin cyl. single carb.
